The Compost Center is open Monday through Friday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm and Saturdays & Sundays from 9am to 3pm. Attleboro residents that participate in the City's trash program may obtain a sticker for their vehicle with a driver's license and registration. Residents that utilize landscapers must obtain a ticket for the landscaper from the Rubbish & Recycling Department. Landscaping or tree companies are not allowed to dispose of any of their own debris at the Compost site.

Closed July 4th, Labor Day (Sept 6th), Thanksgiving Day (November 25th), and Friday, November 26th.

DPW, Forestry and Park Department personnel utilize the Compost Facility during the hours it is closed to the public. The public is NOT allowed into the Compost site when it is closed, and it will be considered trespassing.
Note: The Compost Center may be closed without prior notice in the event of inclement weather or other extenuating circumstances. Should closing be necessary, notices will be posted on the Rubbish & Recycling Department's website.
Guidelines
Plants, grass, brush and leaves are accepted at the center. Compost is available for residents to take during regular Compost Center hours.
Logs that are greater than 6 inches in diameter and stumps will be excluded from the loads.
