Summer Swim Lessons
Limited Space - Sign Up Early
Red Cross certified lifeguards who are also trained in C.P.R. give our swim lessons. Lessons are offered in two weekday (M-F) sessions. If uncertain which level to register your child for the instructors will evaluate him/her at the first session and place them in the appropriate group.
Costs for each child's first session is $75.00. If you desire to purchase an individual or family season pass we will credit $40.00 from this original fee toward your season pass. If signing up for both sessions the second session is $35.00.
Attleboro residents may sign up for lessons at all pools. State residents may take lessons at the state owned George I. Spatcher Memorial Pool. Out of state residents are not eligible for swim lessons.
Individual & Family Season Passes
(distributed at the pools)
If you register your child for swim lessons and are purchasing a season's pass you may credit $40.00 of each child's initial swim lesson fee toward your family swim pass.
If you pre-registered for lessons or purchased a season's pass via the program registration form, your pass will be available at the pool you selected on your registration form starting on June 25th when the pools open. Upon arrival at the pool notify staff that you have pre-paid for a pass either through registering for a swim lesson or purchase of a pass.
Group lessons will be offered at our two city-owned swimming pools and the state owned Spatcher Pool on North Avenue. When filling out the registration form please note which pool you plan on attending:
- B= Briggs
- S= Spatcher
- T= Tilda B. Stone (Dodgeville)
Monday - Friday 9:10am - 9:50am
Designed for a child's introduction to the pool, children will learn basic beginning skills for floating, swimming and safety. Water adjustment is introduced using fun games and songs. Buoyancy and breath control will be taught. Focus on safety and pool rules. Bubbles are welcome at these levels.
