This park needs more entertainment for younger families with kids or teens. not just average Park /Park.

Hello, I feel as a Attleboro resident we have a great opportunity to create a something more exciting than another truck getting stuck under our bridges. Riverfront drive is a perfect opportunity to have a downtown that fellow residents and job owners deserve. The streets, trains, buses, lights, parking and open spaces already looks like a downtown. Personally I feel we have enough apartments and offices that no one will maintain or care for in a few years. Todays downtowns are a place for people to appreciate small business that fellow residents have established. We can make it something that people will want to come and spend time at. We could provide a place with plenty of parking for restaurants, small coffee shops and books stores. A place where we can easily shut the street down for weekly farmers markets, bring back Wednesday nite markets and winter fest. Let’s do something new rather than tossing in another apartment complex that will grow old continue congestion our downtown.

I would like to propose a solution to relieve excessive backups at the intersection of Scott St and Washington St which is caused by traffic attempting to make a left turn south bound onto Washington St.
The backups peak in the afternoon as homebound MBTA travelers are leaving the South Attleboro train station, and periodically throughout the rest of the day. All day passage of vehicles bound for and returning from the Bristol Place shopping center also attract a steady flow of traffic east & west bound on Collins St. where it intersects with Scott St near Washington St, travelers use this as an alternative to using Newport Ave and I-95.
This intersection has had several traffic accidents in recent years, public safety is a principle concern at this intersection, with left turning traffic frequently conflicting with the main flow on Washington street.
The quality of life for the residents of the neighborhood would improve with this section of road being paved and passable.
