The Attleboro Youth Center is a collaborative program between the Attleboro Recreation Department and the Attleboro YMCA. Our goal is to provide a positive and enriching after school alternative for Attleboro children, ages 8 –18 who are enrolled in school full time.

The Youth Center is located in the Bartek Recreation Center at 81 Pine Street. The Youth Center is open October 1st - April 30th. Hours are Monday – Thursday from 3:00 – 5:00PM. The Center is also open on Friday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00PM, December through March.

There is no fee to participate due to the generosity of the United Way of Greater Attleboro/Taunton, the City of Attleboro (CDBG) and the taxpayers of Attleboro.

Our mission is:

“To provide a safe, positive after school enrichment experience, for youth in the community, offering a supportive environment and a wide variety of programs and activities, based on the values of Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility, inspiring youth to work towards their fullest potential as a person and a valuable member of society."

Please note that there is strict code of conduct in place and enforced at the Youth Center. We appreciate the support of Attleboro D.A.R.E. Officer Thomas Wellman in all Youth Center activities.

Various structured activities are available including:
Arts & Crafts, Basketball, Board Games, Flag Football, Pool, Soccer, Movies, Table Tennis, Television, Wiffle-Ball and more.

The Youth Center also offers an area for homework to be completed, a computer lab and a video game section.

In addition to field trips, which in the past have included the IMAX Theatre, East Providence Bowling Lanes, Basketball Hall of Fame, Attleboro Y.M.C.A. and more, we also offer special programs and speakers throughout the year.
