State law (M.G.L. Chapter 140, Section 137) and City Ordinance (9-36) require dogs to be licensed each year once the dog is 6 months old. The licensing period begins April 1 and ends March 31 each year. Late fees apply after June 1 and are $25 per dog or $50 - $150 for kennel stays.

You can license or renew your current license by coming into the City Clerks Office or mailing you payment along with a valid rabies certificate.
