Burgess Family Fun Night

Great Family Fun!!! Join us as the Attleboro Recreation Department hosts our 10th Annual Family Fun Night at Spatcher Pool and Hayward Field on North Avenue.

Attleboro Recreation is pleased to partner with the Jeffrey Burgess Memorial Trust to present our 10th Annual Family Fun Night this summer. The Jeffrey Burgess Trust was established by Jeff’s family after his tragic death while performing his  duties as a maintenance craftsman for the City of Attleboro’s Water Department on August 31, 2009.

The son of Mike and Donna Burgess, Jeff was a 1992 graduate of Attleboro High School. Jeff and his dad built a sports room dedicated to his favorite teams, the Patriots and Red Sox. “Jeff loved kids and sports and was the kind of guy that would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it” according to his dad, Mike.

100% of the money raised for the Jeff Burgess Trust goes directly to benefit kids  and is a great way to continue Jeff’s good will.

Since it’s inception the Jeff Burgess Trust has benefitted thousands of local children and families. Funds have been used for field trips for youngsters at the Attleboro Youth Center; swim lessons; tennis lessons; various sports camps; Thanksgiving turkeys and fixings; gift cards for families in need and much more. For over a decade at Thanksgiving time the Burgess family conducted a food drive in Jeff’s memory to support local food kitchens.

In addition to swimming and a movie, Mike Piazza and his 4 Flying High Dogs will perform. Mike's show is interactive, dynamic and fun. The show is guaranteed to entertain and thrill crowds of all ages. Free pizza will be served to the first 200 people.  This is a free event open to Attleboro residents only.
