About the Board

The Attleboro Zoning Board of Appeals is composed of 3 volunteer members and 2 volunteer associate members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Municipal Council. The Zoning Board of Appeals was established to administer the Zoning Ordinance and the Massachusetts state Zoning Act relative to special permits, variances, and appeals from rulings of the Building Commissioner. The best way to reach the Board members is through the Department of Planning and Development.

Agendas are available a minimum of 48 hours prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval.  Please note that links to digital copies of documents are only available for upcoming online agendas - the links may be deactivated as soon as the day after the meeting.  For access after that, please email planning@cityofattleboro.us or stop by our office during normal business hours.
